RUSA


	Rural Service Agency (RUSA) is a non-profit organization based in Manipur registered under Societies Registration Act, Government of India. It started in the year 1978 with an objective to develop in multi sectors without any discrimination in caste, creed, sex, age and community. It was founded by Mr. Yumnam Surchandra with a vision to provide a platform for all socio-economic needs of the state. It has provided many jobs opportunities till date for the youths in the state.
	Main Aim & Objectives 1. To communicate or cooperate which facilitates a close working relationship between people or organizations 2. To conduct activities, Workshops, Seminar, Exhibition & Training programmes 3. To take up economic activities for livelihood support 4. To conduct health and sanitation programme, Clean drinking water, Rural housing, Roads etc 5. Acceptance of grant, Gift, Donation, Loan, or Public contribution from any individual or organization 6. To take up social welfare activities like Children home, Old aged home, Destitute home, Day care centre, Girls Hostel & Short Stay Home	Main Thrust Area 1. Income Generation 2. People Empowerment 3. Drinking Water Awareness programme. 8. Village approach Road Construction. 9. Women Empowerment. 10. India System of Medicine & Homeopathy. 11. Micro Credit Programme.

	About RUSA Senior Citizens Residential Home (Integrated Programme for Senior Citizens) came into existence in the year 1993 under the aegis of Rural Service Agency (RUSA) with financial assistance from Ministry of SocialJustice & Empowerment, Government of India. The Senior Citizen Home is based in Laiching, Nongpok Kakching, Imphal East, Sawombung CD Block supporting elderly people for nearly 3 decades.
